Rock and SnowThe observation room was silent that morning. I always made sure to come here before the others woke up for their early morning cardio or breakfast. The silence was too perfect for the view outside, people would only spoil it. My hands were warming from the cup of coffee in them. I took a long sip and enjoyed the sweet taste. A knot in my back caused me to shift my weight and try to undo it, the mining was only getting harder on this rock and my body was finally giving up it would seem. Knuckles cracked when I clenched my fist, my neck seems to break every morning, but my legs are still sturdy enough to carry my weight. Everyone else here at the station seemed much in the same way. The doctor was always telling us to take it easier. That was hard advice to follow when the quotas were always increasing. The view outside takes my attention again, swallowing up my body’s pain and my head’s concerns whole and painting over them in white.
Some people hated the storms, it

Jack and Will walked into the pizza parlor.
"Hello, we would like to get a pizza for two and some soda."
The receptionist smiled. "Any toppings," she asked.
"Pepperoni, please," replied Will.
"Half pepperoni," Jack interrupted. "You know I hate the stuff."
"Fine. Half pepperoni."
"Okay." She handed Will two plastic cups. "You're pizza will be ready in a moment."
Jack filled his cup with some Diet Pepsi, and Will got regular Pepsi. The two waited for a few minutes. Will tried to make conversation with his less-than-social friend, and Jack tried to go with it, but he was too abso
Extreme MiningPokemon TF A-Z
Edward mined away stone after stone. His pickaxe was near breaking point, and he was low on HP. He dug into a large cave. Thankfully, there weren't any monsters. He began his journey into the caverns.
"Yeah, just stay right there..." Edward fired an arrow, which connected with the zombie's chest, straight through it's heart. It staggered, fell, and vanished in a puff of smoke. "That's better." He jumped down from his position on a higher wall and took the XP and rotten flesh left by the zombie.
Edward knew those sounds. Somewhere in here were some Skeletons, Creepers,
The Peoples ElbowLightening streaked the sky as thunder followed. Clouds of grey and white meshed on the horizon as rain began to pour heavily towards the earth. As droplets hit your head your mindset was stuck in bullet time. You heard nothing but could see everything in slow motion, thousands of soldiers plunged towards the Basteel; the strong hold of Team Gratitude. You were meant to protect it but fear kept you paralyzed. All you could do was stare. You want to move but mostly you wanted to run. A ladder had propped it’s self a few feet from the edge you stood near. An enemy vaulted up and over towards you, his sword raised high in the air and meant

Caroline readjusted the lens, making sure that the recording device was leveled where she wanted. Once completed, she sank back into the chair, and breathed a heavy sigh. Her long black hair was frizzed, and containing the leaves and branches she had been unable to untangle. Her blue eyes were dead set, and expressed fear and dread. The spectrum of emotions that traveled across her entire face made it clear the distress she was in.
“My name is Caroline Sula. I am twenty-three years old and I do not know how much longer I have.” Her voice was raw with an emotion not quite deciphered. “An hour ag

Alex stared at the clock. Two minutes left. The seconds felt like hours. Beads of sweat dripped down his forehead. One minute. Thirty seconds. Twenty. Ten. Five. Four. Three. Two. One.
The bell signaling the end of the school year rang out. Alex sprinted through the halls, leapt onto his bike, and pedaled home. Partway there, it started raining. His spirits fell.
"Hey, guy, you can stay here until the storm passes," said a voice.
Alex turned to see a shop that he had never noticed before. He locked his bike and ran inside. "Th-thank you mist- uh..."

Prisoner of Vengeance Part 3, Fighting Kirk's War
The young captain's usually striking bright blue eyes, lacked their usual boyish charm, looking exhausted today, as Starfleet as a whole was reduced to complete and utter chaos. His regulation transmitter had been beeping angrily since five yesterday, and he couldn't remember a time when it sat calm and still, not accusing him of raging careless failure. Right now, he stood in the newly reconstructed Daystrom Institute, his transmitter buzzing on the edge of the table, nearly about to fall off, while the captains and first officers of every vessel in the fleet, all spoke at once, in panicked tones, asking him the thousands of questions that h
Blue LiesThe sunken world breathed out into the night sky as it floated through the air on wings of devil’s hearts. The flames of the Earth opened up and closed down like the dragon they now saw. The fire spoke in a roaring rate of ten thousand monsters breathing their battle cry. The flames whispered blue.
Blue of water.
Blue of fire.
Blue of tears.
Blue of lies.
The blue lied to me.
Tears around the face. The last to reach footing on the shallow world they now revolved around and away the other from. The legs soaked in flames mellow. Eyes of hardened iron breathed and echoed in the narrow valley.
The last of the world was left behind in the
OHFE: Timerunt of the Litter Johnny-Jimmy had never seen his foster father so angry, especially when it was related to the TARDIS - and right this was happening. Doctor was almost running circles around the console and yelling at the top of his freakishly huge lungs:
- You offer me to walk into that room?! Bonkers! Do you imagine what could happen if I tried this?! - Some annoyed "vworp-vworps". - Are you telling me this is going to bring positive results?.. Yes, it worked with JJ the previous time, but it's only because he is a child, and I am a thousand years old, if not more!
More "vworps", this time insistive. Doctor sat down onto the stairs next to the cons

Poll Question: ME3 Dark Energy Ending Post-ECNow that ME3's story is clearly over and the s$%@storm concerning the ending has died down. Let's go over a topic that has probably been brought up before...
Dark Energy Crisis > StarChild;
DEC = StarChild;
Dark Energy Crisis < StarChild
For those who may not know, the Dark Energy Crisis is the original concept for the ending of the ME trilogy before it was scrapped during development for ME3. Former ME lead writer Drew Karpyshen said that the ending and it's themes were originally foreshadowed in previous games with the most notable being the rapidly dying star at Hastrom.
The DE Crisis would eventually boil down to a choice between sacrificing humanity to stop the crisis or destroying the reapers and taking your chances.
From this concept, here's a possible backstory that also includes the leviathan DLC.
It turns out that the leviathan empire heavily abused dark energy for just about everything and thrall species only contributed to stand a chance of

Beep. Beep. Proximity alert! Ratchet looked up from the keyboard of his command central computer as Optimus Prime walked up. “What is it, Ratchet?” the Autobot leader asked his friend.
“Hold on, Optimus, I’m just bringing up the screen now…” the medic answered, typing a few keystrokes on his console. A teal-tinted infrared projection popped up, displaying a feed of Wheeljack pounding on the steel plate that served as a door to the base. “Open up!” he was shouting. Ratchet sighed. “Oh, that reckless lunatic…! What could he possibly want at a facility maintained by reasonable Aut
Rupert Bear and Inspector Gadget Meet Again
Our tale begins in the home of Lieutenant Rupert Bear. Well, he's actually Chief Inspector, but he prefers to be called Lieutenant because Lt. Bear sounds better than Chief Inspector Bear. He spent his childhood on a lot of nifty adventures, but now that he is grown up, he is an important law enforcer in Nutwood.
His superior, Commissioner Cleese, informed him of his latest assignment. "Hello, Mr. Cleese. What is my latest assignment?" "You will learn everything you need to know at the Nutwood branch of Interpol." "Thank you, Commissioner. I can tell that this assignment is going to be something big."

Goodnight Enigmatic SongShe was the song you hear and, at first blush, don't like.
Well, you don't know how you feel about it so you keep listening in an attempt to discover how exactly you feel and then you reach the end of the song and you realize, you don't like it; you love it.
That was Grace.
She was my coworker and she was my friend.
We carpooled together, I drove and she slept most of the way.
"Don't get much sleep at night, do you?" I asked her, catching those drooping lids mid-descent.
She looked out the window streaked with rain; it spoke in percussive touches filling the car with quiet overcast conversation.
I felt the warmth of her smile in the corner of my eye. The blur of her hand reached at the window to feel the cold of the droplets.
"When I was a girl, I used to race these. I thought it was funny the fat ones always won," she giggled and I imagined her as a little girl in the passenger seat then, legs too short to reach so kicking, and hair messed in the bac
